Community Settlement Association

Founded in 1911, Community Settlement Association has been focused on family wellness, education, civic engagement, cultural awareness, and strengthening the community in Riverside for more than 100 years! Community Settlement Association, an affiliate of Riverside Community Health Foundation, provides a variety of programs ranging from family guidance counseling, food assistance, alcohol abuse counseling, after school programs, and bilingual social services.

About:

  • Social Services
    Our social services program offers a variety of services including food assistance, bus tickets, and bilingual services. Tickets are limited and available on a first come, first serve basis. Services also include referrals to health, housing, and financial resources. Our organization distributes food to the community every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of each month from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. We have a community garden which helps to supplement the Food Share Program.
  • Drinking Driver Program (DUI) & Family Guidance Counseling
    Education is provided on the impact of alcohol use in the family, alcohol use while driving, and the effects on society. Services are offered through individual counseling sessions and interactive group sessions for DUI clients. Family Guidance Counseling services are provided on a sliding fee scale for both adults and children and are available in English & Spanish. Insurance is not accepted at this time. Services by appointment only.
  • After-school Program
    Homework assistance is offered to K-8 students Monday-Friday from 2:45 PM to 5:15 PM. Tutoring is provided by UCR students. This program is offered at no cost.
