Riverside Community Health Foundation Appoints Lisa Wright as President/CEO

Riverside, CA  - After an extensive search, Riverside Community Health Foundation’s (RCHF) Board of Directors announces the appointment of Lisa Wright as its new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective March 4, 2024. Wright brings over 20 years of experience in nonprofit executive leadership and a solid commitment to excellent and equitable community health for all. Wright succeeds Dr. Dan Anderson, PhD, who is retiring after 19 years as RCHF’s leader and 50 years serving the non-profit sector.

Wright, who is currently completing an interim President position with Inland Empire Health Foundation (IEHP), comes with a wealth of valuable experience including many notable philanthropic and community-based initiatives within the Riverside region.

“On behalf of the Board and the Search Committee, we are excited to have Lisa Wright as the CEO of Riverside Community Health Foundation,” said Dr. Dan Anderson. “She is an innovator, service-minded, and goal-oriented leader with a proven record of excellence and commitment to our region.”

In 2020, Wright was awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year for the region from the Spirit of Entrepreneur Awards and Fundraiser of the Year from the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Inland Empire Chapter.  She is also a Certified Fundraising Executive. She attained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Accounting from the University of Arizona, and a Master of Divinity from Claremont School of Theology.

Wright expressed her enthusiasm to join RCHF. “I am excited to join RCHF and to work together with our community to improve our health outcomes across the Greater Riverside region,” said Wright. “I look forward to working alongside staff, board, and our partners to continue to increase our collective health and well-being.”

Nineteen years as a leader for RCHF, Dr. Anderson has been integral in developing the organization as it is today and has played a major role in the growth of the Foundation’s endowment from an initial $54 million to $100 million at present day and he is confident in the staff and Board's leadership decision. “RCHF will be well-served with Lisa guiding the way. RCHF has always been able to change, support, and thrive. I look forward to witnessing the future potential of RCHF and its role in providing much-needed health services to the community that I have had the wonderful opportunity to serve, for so many years.”

“Over the past three decades, with his steadfast leadership of RCHF, Dr. Anderson has steered the Foundation through remarkable growth. His unwavering commitment to community service has been the cornerstone of RCHF’s success. Under his guidance, RCHF has forged incredible partnerships and embraced opportunities that have transformed the Foundation and enhanced its ability to serve the community. Thanks to Dr. Anderson’s enduring leadership, RCHF stands poised to continue making a lasting impact for generations to come” – Michelle C. Burroughs, Board Chair.
