More About Covered California

Southern California plays a critical role in setting the tone for statewide health coverage enrollment, with more than 865,000 enrollees across Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties, nearly half of all Covered California enrollees.

In the Inland Empire alone, more than 167,000 Riverside and San Bernardino County residents rely on Covered California, and while premiums in the region are rising an average of 9.8% for 2027, residents who shop and switch can hold that increase to under 1%. Like last year, we’re meeting people where they are, showing up in community spaces alongside nonprofit partners and elected officials to ensure residents are empowered to make the right decisions for them and their families.

Open enrollment runs Nov. 1, 2026, through Jan. 31, 2027, and residents should enroll by Dec. 31 for coverage to begin January 1st.
