Food Pantry Offers Support Amid SNAP Benefit Disruption

Food Pantry Offers Support Amid SNAP Benefit Disruption

As the federal government shutdown continues, many families are feeling the effects of the lapse in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). For countless households, these benefits help put food on the table — and when that support is interrupted, local food resources become more critical than ever.

CSA’s Food Pantry remains open to anyone in need of food assistance during this difficult time. We provide nutritious groceries, fresh produce, and essential pantry staples to individuals and families experiencing hardship.

“No one in our community should go hungry,” said Nayeli Peña-Quiroz, Community Center Manager. “We know that times like these can be stressful, and we want residents to know that help is available.”

How Can You Help?

So far in 2025, the CSA Food Pantry has served over 2,200 families and individuals, providing an average of 1,500 food bags each month. This month, that number has sharply increased as more local families turn to us for support.
