SUMMARY:Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) Zone Collaborative Meetings
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our HEAL Zone Collaborative Meetings! \nOne of our flagship programs is the Eastside HEAL Zone that meets every 3rd Thursday of every other month from 12:30-2:30pm. The Eastside HEAL Zone initiative is a collaborative of members representing both public and private sectors\, including residents\, county agencies\, school district staff\, community businesses\, elected officials\, park and community services staff\, local health clinics and foundations. The initiative is resident-driven\, focused specifically on the Eastside neighborhood within the city of Riverside\, and facilitated by the Riverside Community Health Foundation. The vision of the HEAL Zones is that communities will be measurably transformed so that opportunities for engaging in healthy behaviors such as walking and biking on safe routes\, buying affordable fresh fruits and vegetables close to home\, exercising in parks\, and participating in active after-school programs are part of daily life.   \nWe invite and welcome residents\, groups and organizations to join the Eastside HEAL Zone to combat adverse health risks. Collaborative meetings are held virtually via zoom every 3rd Thursday from 12:30-2:30pm. SUMMARY:Healthy Living Project (HLP) Youth Club
DESCRIPTION:The Healthy Living Project Youth Group (H.L.P.) is a program of youth residents ages 12-19 that empowers the next generation of community leaders to help reduce health disparities and inequities by encouraging healthy eating\, physical activity\, civic engagement and public safety. The H.L.P. youth group helps empower community residents by providing the necessary tools to create a safe and healthy environment/neighborhood and helps develop community improvement projects along with community partners and local businesses.  \nThe H.L.P. youth group meets monthly on the second Thursday of the month at 3:30 PM at the Bobby Bonds Park\, Youth Opportunity Center\, 2060 University Ave\, Riverside CA. SUMMARY:TCC Neighborhood Canvassing
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our upcoming TCC Neighborhood Canvassing and help provide information about FREE programs to our community. In June of 2020\, the City of Riverside and its community partners were awarded two grants totaling $31\,221\,206 from the Transformative Climate Communities and Affordable Housing Sustainable Communities Grant Programs. Our TCC Neighborhood Canvassing is spearheaded by members of the Residents of Eastside Active in Leadership Group.  The goal is to help provide information about the the Eastside Transformative Climate Collaborative Grant\, the various programs within the grant\, and assist eligible neighbors in applying for FREE services and programs. Join us every third Tuesday of the month in our efforts to help spread the word about these amazing programs funded by the Strategic Growth Council and the Affordable Housing Sustainable Communities Grant. \nContact Miguel Lujano at Miguel@rchf.org for more information. \nAcompáñenos en nuestra próxima Campaña Vecinal del TCC y ayude a difundir información sobre programas GRATUITOS para nuestra comunidad.
